New Project

Meet the Gallagher family. They woke me up at 2:30 the other morning and apparently wanted their story written. Looking at another illustrated novella for it. Scenes have been flooding in ever since that early morning scene. So, yes. I’m writing their story. Francis “Jason” and Maureen Gallagher and their children: Ruth, Thomas, Esther, Isaac, Angela, Chloe, and Asher. They are living in Minnesota, but Jason, a minister, has been appointed to Bozeman, MT., so they move. Jason is light-hearted, carefree, and good humored. Twelve-year-old Isaac, the main character, is quiet, shy and feels deeply. They have moved a lot and he hates it. From his perspective, the pity, the charity, the whispers about his mother, all begin again and he doesn’t like it. He just wants to stay where people accept them for who they are without making a big deal about things.

I’m not quite sure where this story is taking me, but it’s unfolding rather quickly. More to come…
