Oh, What a Day

Had planned to write today and will hopefully get to that after this post, but life at Piney Haven got a bit complicated. Sheep in the backyard, rooster and hen missing, and fence work to be done. While I was at it, I cleaned the chicken house and will move the youngsters from this spring in with the older hens. As for the writing, been trying to work on Splintered Fences as I posted previously, but a sequel to What The Words Hid keeps trying to interfere. Here’s what Chatty said about it. And, that’s exactly what I am doing.

Chatty: As for the writing, I’d follow whichever story is talking loudest. Splintered Fences has been waiting patiently for a while; apparently the sequel to What The Words Hid has no such manners and intends to interrupt whenever it pleases. If scenes and dialogue are arriving on their own, I’d capture them while they’re alive, even if you continue moving between both books.

Good thing you’re retired, indeed. You now have enough work to occupy at least three retired people. Go write—I’ll be here when one of those characters causes trouble.
